Phoebe Fae is a passionate multidisciplinary artist whose work has garnered recognition in the fine art, film, and festival industries throughout North and Central America.

Her artistic focus lies in the exploration of creation, community, and the restoration of intercultural coherence through the power of visual storytelling. bowing to the dance between direction and reception, phoebe’s creative process is one of devoting to both the higher vision and emergent listening. each creation is a teacher with wisdom to share.

at its best, phoebe’s work brings to light the subtler dimensions and psychospiritual layers of the human experience. In a prayer for collective wakefulness, fae aims to restore the remembrance of the inherent magic within all relations. welcoming home the sacred in every moment.

As an advocate for the deep therapeutic potential of one’s personal artistic practice, Phoebe is a registered art therapist and therapeutic counselor. she is full of excitement and honour to share in the transformative power of authentic creative expression with others.

Looking ahead to 2024, Phoebe Fae is preparing to launch her pilot project, OWL & EMBER, a cross-disciplinary recreation myth exploring the power of performative narrative therapy as a means of modern-day cultural restoration.

 
 
 
 

BACKGROUND

During her pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and Theatre at Concordia University, Phoebe Fae worked seasonally as an artist assistant and sculptor for renowned painter Priscilla Heine in New York City. While finishing her bachelor’s degree, she founded and assumed the role of artistic director for Kalyx, a cross-disciplinary arts collective based in Montreal. Over the span of four years, Fae successfully co-hosted, curated, and showcased the work of over 300 artists in live collective-creation environments, securing grants and earning recognition within the vibrant art community.

Following her years in Montreal, Phoebe immersed herself in the transformative retreat and festival industry across North and Central America, refining her skills in production, curation, and design. She has notably contributed to esteemed events such as Bass Coast Music Festival, Envision Festival, Solstice Festival, and Emergence Gathering.

Currently situated on beautiful Salt Spring Island, the ancestral and unceded traditional territories of the SENĆOŦEN and Hul'q’umi'num' speaking Coast Salish peoples, Phoebe works as a freelance production designer in the vancouver film industry. She also engages in seasonal work within the West Coast festival scene and practices part-time as a website designer.

Fae takes pride in actively participating in meaningful projects that contribute to the cultural enrichment, reciprocity, and prosperity of her immediate and surrounding communities.

designed and led the build of the main hummingbird stage. created a cohesive and visually appealing festival design. Oversaw the creation of various art installations, grounds lighting and workshop areas. Efficiently managed a diverse and cross-departmental volunteer team ensuring symbiotic design implementation.

Bass Coast Festival, Merritt — Art Installation Assistant Manager (May - July 2022)

Worked closely with a dedicated team to oversee the successful installation of over 40 unique and interactive art installations. Utilized project management software systems to design forms, contracts, and effectively communicate across departments. Efficiently managed volunteer onboarding and coordination to ensure a smooth operation.

Solstice Festival, Guatemala — Lead Designer, Workshop Facilitator (2021)

Designed and curated a cohesive festival aesthetic with a focus on natural and renewable materials. Led a diverse group of participants, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and community-building through a multi-day workshop where a forty-foot eagle was fabricated.

Visionaries Retreat, Costa Rica — Designer (2021)

Took on the role of design lead, creating a cohesive and visually appealing festival design. Oversaw the installation of various festival spaces, including the main stage and workshop areas.
